The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Augusta University will be holding its annual Augusta Spine Symposium with distinguished surgeon, Jeff Wang, MD, serving as speaker. Jeff is Professor and Chief, Orthopedic Spine Service at the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California. He received his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed a spine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Jeff Wang is internationally recognized as an expert in the field of spinal surgery. Before arriving at USC in 2013, he spent 16 years at UCLA. He has served as President – Western Orthopedic Association LA Chapter, Chairman – AOSpine International, President – Cervical Spine Research Society and President – North American Spine Society. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Global Spine Journal, serves on the Editorial Board of several other journals including Journal of Spine Surgery, Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, and Spine to name a few. He has over 570 peer-reviewed publications and has trained over 50 spine fellows.
The Spine Conference for this academic year is scheduled for Friday, April 29, 2022 at SRP Park in North Augusta, South Carolina.
Dr. Jeff Wang
