The Manish Jain, MD Excellence in Teaching Fund is established to recognize great and enthusiastic teaching contributions by both faculty and residents in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
The OBGYN Excellence in Faculty & Resident Teaching Awards will be presented annually. Preference will be given to early to mid-career faculty and resident eligibility will be at the PGY-2 level or above. Faculty will be honored with a plaque and the resident will receive support for professional development in the form of conferences, educational presentations, new tools in the educational setting, and/or textbooks.
This gift is inspired by Dr. Manish Jain, an OBGYN who taught at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University from 2015-2022. Over these seven years, he taught and mentored countless residents and students – earning the annual teaching award over multiple years. MCG is proud to honor the late Dr. Jain with these awards.
