Awards an annual scholarship to a graduate student based on merit and financial need, who plans to pursue a nursing career in gerontology. The individual must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application and be able to demonstrate financial need. The applicant will submit an essay addressing why he/she thinks gerontology is an important specialty in nursing. A College of Nursing faculty member, who teaches graduate students and with preference given to a faculty member with an interest in gerontology, will be appointed by the College of Nursing Dean to select the award recipient.
