The Manish Jain, MD Excellence in Teaching Fund is established to recognize great and enthusiastic teaching contributions by both faculty and residents in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
The OBGYN Excellence in Faculty & Resident Teaching Awards will be presented annually. Preference will be given to early to mid-career faculty and resident eligibility will be at the PGY-2 level or above. Faculty will be honored with a plaque and the resident will receive support for professional development in the form of conferences, educational presentations, new tools in the educational setting, and/or textbooks.
This gift is inspired by Dr. Manish Jain, an OBGYN who taught at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University from 2015-2022. Over these seven years, he taught and mentored countless residents and students – earning the annual teaching award over multiple years. MCG is proud to honor the late Dr. Jain with these awards. The Melvin L. Haysman, M.D. and Mrs. Roberta Kamine-Haysman Stethoscope Fund is established to provide stethoscopes, free of cost, to all first-year medical students at the Medical College of Georgia. These stethoscopes provide a connection for first-year students with the MCG Alumni Association and invite them into a culture of responsibility in patient care and mentorship with fellow physicians.

This endowment is designated to provide for the stethoscope program in concert with the funds raised in the annual appeal for stethoscope donations from other MCG alumni. If at any time in the future, this fund is no longer needed to support the stethoscope program, the donors’ preference is to support the MCG Class of 1971/Dr. Bobby Jones Scholarship. Donate Now >
